The city just sprawls into the mountains like it grew there. At 11,000 feet, the light has a clarity you don't get at sea level.
From SkyPhoto, a business I ran with a friend during the wild west of aerial photography. The perspective changes everything — neighborhoods become patterns, streets become lines, and you realize how much of a city is just trees.
There was a phase where I got obsessed with night photography. Setting up the tripod, calculating exposures, waiting in the dark. The red light on the rocks was an accident that worked.
